24th December 2004:
The Royal Ferrari Deccan Odyssey awaiting
its Customers:
Maharashtra Palace on Wheels clones and equally royal in treat Deccan
Odyssey Train is finding hard to attract foreign tourists. The luxurious
journey of train begins in Ratnagiri and covers Goa, Aurangabad, Ajanta,
Ellora, and various other tourism and religious places throughout Maharashtra
at Rs. 1.30 lacs for its 7 days plush tour.
25th November:
Ajanta caves witness season's best inflow:
With lush green environment around and weather cooling down,
the World heritage Ajanta caves is witnessing best of inflow from foreign
as well as Indian Tourist. The Ajanta Caves has peak traffic beginning
from the month October until January with weather settled.
23rd November:
Missing Japan Tourist returns safely:
The Japanese Tourist went missing on Saturday returned back safely
on Sunday late night. The Photography hobbyist found himself in trouble
when the Navjivan Express Train started to depart from Station, since
he was on Train; he dropped at next station and returned back to Bhusaval
in night.
22nd November:
Japanese Tourist missing from Bhusaval Railway Station:
Tadasune Inouve, Aged: 69, resident of Saitama, Japan went missing
on Bhusaval Railway Station on Sunday evening. He was in group of 19 Japanese
tourist arriving India for tour to various tourism heritages including
Ajanta.
Tadasune, a photography hobbyist was trying to capture some Railway Station
images while others were in Waiting Room on Platform No 4. Wearing hat,
Sky Blue and Navy blue clothing having 170cms height knows only Japanese
Language. Please inform Bhusaval Railway Police as you get more information
in this regards.
18th November:
Ajanta Caves soon to have Helicopter Service:
Considering increasing demand from foreign tourists, the ASI and
MTDC are planning to have a Helipad at Ajanta T-Point. This will facilitate
tourists arriving at Aurangabad Airport to reach Ajanta.
Currently all visitors arriving at Ajanta have two options. Either they
could drop at Aurangabad Airport and reach Ajanta by State Transport/
Private Vehicles or alternatively they could arrive at Jalgaon Railway
Station and reach Ajanta by Bus/ Private Vehicles.
26th July:
Welcome, Ajanta calling you:
The monsoon raining has turned world renown Ajanta Caves into lush green
zone and its marvellous fountain has restarted. The pleasant temperature
along with greenery is one of major attraction to tourist arriving in
the region. This time (August and September) is one of the best times
to visit caves and surrounding region.

April 2004:
New Guesthouse at Ajanta:
The MTDC has built up a new Guest
House at Fardapur to accommodate national and international tourists visiting
Ajanta. Built up at cost of Rs. 55 Lacs, the Guest House offers a whole
set of facilities including five Air Conditioned rooms and one dinning
hall. The key attraction of Guesthouse remains its giant Entry. Rooms
offer Star facilities including Television sets, specially designed Bed
etc.
26th February 2004:
Annual fumigation process begins at Ajanta Caves:
The ASI and PCI India have jointly begun
their Ajanta Caves Annual Fumigation process to disinfect the Caves and
surrounding region. The Fumigation process involving use of Ito-oxide
frees the environment from various insecticides and will continue for
a month.
